Ice Skating Like The Pro’s

Our adventure in January took us ice skating!  And what an adventure it was!  It was a sunny, unseasonably warm morning; perfect weather for an outdoor skate.  As we waited for the rink to open, with our anticipation building, we were silently wondering ‘would we be able to skate without falling’?  Although several of us had never been on ice skates before, everyone took to the ice with gusto!  Before long, we were gliding around the ice, laughing and having a blast; feeling and looking like kids again.  As our confidence grew, we even posed on the ice for pictures (and I am happy to report that everyone is standing in all of them, much to the chagrin of one person in our group!)

After an hour long skate, we headed off to Friday’s for a fabulous lunch (of course without fail one person wanted to stay and sip hot coco but yet again they were outvoted).  As I was driving home, I thought ’there is no better way to spend a Saturday than with those you love’.
