LICF GospelChoir sings at TDOR

The LICF Gospel Choir was honored to participate in the TDOR (Transgender Day of Remembrance).
On Sunday, November 20th the beautiful Zion Reformed Temple of Bay Shore opened its doors wide to the LGBT community to Celebrate the lives, realize the tragedies and mourn the loss of 20 brave human beings.
Their lives were cut short (sometimes brutally) right here in America and across the globe in the last year, simply because their bodies developed in a way contradictory to their beings.
The choir delivered the message that we should look to God for answers to the hate, receive strength to survive, and understanding of and for the victims. We were proud to represent Our GOD, and “our church”.
We appreciate the honor and opportunity to witness afforded us by the Long Island TDOR Committee.
We also proudly stood beside our sister Barbara, (and our brother Jeff) to support them in this cause that means so much to us. We applaud the hard work Barbara and the entire Long Island TDOR committee did to make this the important and meaningful service it was.

"LICF has become my home and a place where a true sense a family continues to evolve and grow naturally, spiritually and lovingly as God continues to shape and mold me. I am truly Blessed to be in the presence of this family."
