Join the LICF Family on Friday January 20th for an exciting game of Laser Tag at Laser Bounce in Levittown. The cost is $10 per session and there are two games per session.

Transgender Rights Advocacy Meeting

The Transgender Rights Advocacy group will be reaching out to Senator Flanagan by attending a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, February 2nd at Middle Country Public Library in Centereach at 7PM ……Come show your support !
Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Long Island Community Fellowship will host a Transgender Rights Advocacy Meeting at 7:00pm in our Fellowship Room. Long Island Community Fellowship is committed towards working to ensure all people are treated with respect regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or any other classification..
Campaign for Transgender Civil Rights
GENDA is a bill that adds the category of “gender identity and expression” to the already existing New York State human rights laws. Current law makes it illegal in New York State to discriminate on the basis of age, race, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, sex and other categories in the areas of employment, housing, public accommodations, education and credit. This act would extend current law to ban discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression as well. Similarly, it would add gender identity and expression to these same categories already included in New York’s hate crimes law.

Youth Sunday

Our LICF youth take charge! Our children are a gift from God so what better way to honor our Creator than by having those gifts leads us in worship! On Sunday January 29 our youth will be at the fore front of worship. They will lead the Call to Worship, They will recite our readings, take up the tithing’s AND cook our Sunday Lunch!

“Meet and Greet” Reverend Gale

On Sunday, January 15th at 2PM in our Fellowship Hall, there will be a Meet and Greet for Reverend Gale. It will be a gathering of Long Island’s clergy, political leaders, and GLBT Community leaders to give them the opportunity to meet and share ideas with our new Pastor, Reverend Gale.
Reverend Gale D Jones was elected as Interim Pastor for Long Island Community Fellowship on October 9, 2011 and officialy installed on November 12, 2011
All members of LICF are invited to participate in this event as well. We will be serving light refreshments
