Blessed Advent and Merry Christmas!  Long Island Community Fellowship will be celebrating a special season as we welcome the Christ Child to our community this beautiful Christmas season.  We are celebrating a very special liturgy with the lighting of the Advent Candles each Sunday.  In addition, LICF is adding two additional services:

Christmas Eve:  Join the LICF Gospel Choir on December 24th at 11pm for Singing of the Carols.  A special concert celebrating the coming of Christmas Day.

Christmas Day Service: You are welcome to celebrate Christmas Day with the LICF Family at 10am.  This special service will be a traditional service of celebration.

Don’t miss your opportunity to make the reason for the season to come alive in you!

Pot Luck Lunch

Master Class Theatre Outing

On Sunday, August 7th, LICF will be going to NYC to see Master Class at the Samuel J. Loaves and Fishes

Sunday Fellowship lunch is presented each Sunday at 12pm for attendees of our Sunday morning services.  We congregants take turns cooking a fabulous meal for our family at LICF.  If you would like to volunteer to cook for approximately 40-50 people one Sunday or to find out more information about cooking a Sunday Fellowship meal, please contact Gigi at Gigi@licf.net.

Cinco De Mayo Dinner Dance

Please join LICF on Saturday, May 7th for our Cinco de Mayo celebration.  The event will take place at the VFW Hall in Sayville (400 Lakeland Avenue).  Doors open at 8pm and don’t close again ’til midnight.  Tickets are $25/person and include an authentic Latin Dinner and hours of dancing to our DJ spinning a selection of dance hits.  Tickets can be purchased in advance by sending a check to LICF (697 West Montauk Highway, Bay Shore, NY 11706).  Any remaining tickets will be available on a first come basis.  A cash bar will also be available at this event.

LICF Gospel Choir is Looking for New Members

If you have a good voice and can spare a few hours a week, the LICF Gospel Choir is looking to add YOU to our Choir.  The Choir performs every Sunday at our 10am service and also participates in several events throughout the year.  This past year the Choir sang at the LI Pride Parade, the GLBT Arts Festival and held a few concerts of their own.  If you are interested, please contact our Choir Director Joe Fiore at  Joe@licf.net for more information.

Valentine’s Day Cake Sale

Decorate a cake for the loved ones in your life!  Join LICF on February 6th at 11am in the Fellowship Hall as we decorate cakes for Valentine’s Day.

Undecorated cakes are $10 and we supply all the decorations so you can add your own personal touch.

Decorated cakes are $15.  A dozen decorated cupcakes are $10.

All decorated cakes and decorated cupcakes must be ordered in advance.  Please contact Gigi at Gigi@licf.net or call the church office at 631-961-9618 if you would like to pre-order a decorated cake or a dozen decorated cupcakes.

The Nativity

On December 15th, LICF’s Choir will perform ‘The Nativity’, a concert in words and music.  The concert will begin at 7:30pm in the Church Sanctuary (located at 697 West Montauk Highway, Bay Shore, NY).  Admission is $5 donation.  Light refreshments will be served immediately following the concert.
