In acknowledgement of heart month and in honor of Pastor Shane who passed away of a heart attack, everyone attending Worship service is asked to wear red!

In 2002, Rev. Dr. G. Shane Hibbs came to Long Island with a dream. He envisioned a church on Long Island that would embrace everyone—Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, as well as the Straight Allies of the Community. In February of that year, a small group of people, with Pastor Shane as their spiritual guide, had the first service of Long Island Community Fellowship in a tiny office space.

What a difference ten years can make! Since 2006, LICF has been serving the GLBT Community from our church in Bay Shore and we have grown! From that initial handful of worshipers, Long Island Community Fellowship now has more and more people attending services each week. Pastor Shane’s vision has clearly grown. Now, his vision has become our mission….

Our children are a gift from God so what better way to honor our Creator than by having those gifts leads us in worship! On Sunday January 29 our youth will be at the fore front of worship. They will lead the Call to Worship, They will recite our readings, take up the tithing’s AND cook our Sunday Lunch!

Gale D. Jones as Interim Pastor. Rev. Gale comes to LICF with an extensive background in Pastoral Ministries as well as Finance.

Rev. Gale was officially installed as Interim Pastor on Saturday, November 12, 2011. She is very enthused about not only ministering to the members of LICF but also working with the entire Long Island GLBT Community.

Christmas Eve:  Join the LICF Gospel Choir on December 24th at 11pm for Singing of the Carols.  A special concert celebrating the coming of Christmas Day.

Christmas Day Service: You are welcome to celebrate Christmas Day with the LICF Family at 10am.  This special service will be a traditional service of celebration.
