Community Food Pantry
LICF proudly operates a food pantry servicing the needs of the GLBTA community who have fallen on hard times. It is our mission to help any person in need of food in our community, in the hopes that we can alleviate their hunger and suffering.
Our clients are people who are struggling with late stage cancer, AIDS, debilitating medical conditions, or just need a helping hand to get back on their feet. Their stories are heartbreaking and very real. As some of our clients are estranged from mainstream organizations, they feel more comfortable dealing with and confiding in a GLBT church. People who receive assistance are referred to LICF by various organizations. We welcome individuals who may desire to receive assistance to contact our office.
Church members, private individuals, and various organizations support our efforts by donating food and/or tax-deductible monetary contributions.
The premise that Long Island is absent of need is false. Families and individuals across Long Island need your help and support in the fight against hunger. Please contact LICF Offices and make a difference in someone’s life.
