As LICF is a Christian congregation, regular pastoral care for members, associates and friends is provided, as requested. Please contact the Church Offices to arrange for these services. Such services can include:
Baptisms – This is the Sacrament of Initiation into the congregation in a formal way for those who have never been baptized. This normally occurs at a worship service with the members and, if the baptismal candidate is a youth or adult, is preceded by instruction over a period of weeks with the pastor or his/her designee. If the candidate is an infant, the parents/sponsors of the infant will engage in discussion about the responsibilities of raising the child in the faith.
Weddings – The Pastoral staff is pleased to facilitate the religious rite of Holy Matrimony. LICF does not see this as just “planning the ceremony” but as an opportunity to deepen the commitment that both persons in the couple make to each other. Both same-sex couples and heterosexual couples will be required to engage in counseling with the pastor and other professionals, to include legal counsel and meeting with a financial planner prior to the ceremony.
Hospital, Homebound, Nursing Home Visitation – The pastoral staff visits members and friends for prayer, conversation and the reading of scripture as a part of the healing process to provide comfort and support.
Hospital, Homebound, Nursing Home Communion Visit – As LICF celebrates the Lord’s Supper each Sunday as a central part of our life together, Holy Communion is available to those who, because of illness or infirmity are unable to join us each week for worship.
Reception into Full Membership – Following a period of classes on what membership means and what we profess as LICF, one can “join” the church. Full membership means regular attendance & financial contribution to the life of LICF as well as active involvement in its activities. Membership is meant for persons who wish to dedicate themselves to becoming builders of the Church.
For Information on receiving Pastoral Services, please contact us or call the Church Offices at (631) 961-9618.
Now that Marriage Equality has been passed in New York, LICF is pleased to announce that LICF will be officiating wedding ceremonies. If you are interested in having your wedding ceremony at LICF, please contact Eddie at eddie.licf.net for more information.

"I’ve been attending LICF for a few years now. So it was interesting that one Sunday while listening to the choir sing a medley, for the first time, I could feel the Christ within. LICF is an answer to a prayer. A prayer that my faith may grow".
