LICF Gospel Choir is Looking for New Members
Posted on February 15, 2011 | Filed Under ChoirIf you have a good voice and can spare a few hours a week, the LICF Gospel Choir is looking to add YOU to our Choir. The Choir performs every Sunday at our 10am service and also participates in several events throughout the year. This past year the Choir sang at the LI Pride Parade, the GLBT Arts Festival and held a few concerts of their own. For years I have been looking to get back into church & I kept shoving it off because God is in me but @ the end of the day, I had no one to fellowship with me besides my companion over the phone and she is overseas in Trinidad. She constantly urged me to find some type of community that accepts our lifestyle so when she gets her visa we can go together. Well for the third time she has been denied by the american embassy to enter. We stay strong but I am screaming inside, the devil always has to put his two cents in our lives when you have God. Well here it is today, this morning I am browsing on this new phone that has this & does that, I pull up gay/lesbian friendly churches and this church, your church pulled up and my heart dropped. I have the directions, and will be attending sunday morning because if I don’t fellowship soon and give my testimony I feel like I’m going to explode. My family lives so close and there so distant it’s sickening. My life is nothing w/o Jesus and I just want to share that feeling and regain my faith because Satan continuously stomps a mud hole in my heart and tries to distroy any plans I have in life. So I have said enough, I’m sorry I just really hope that this is the church I have been looking for. See you sunday morning, if God sees to it.
