On Sunday, April 12th, two officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Community Outreach attended services our Worship service. Officers Joseph Maldonado and Jeffrey Blaskewicz spoke to the congregation about their work in community outreach.
DL Eddie Finan and Christine Bargellini will be working with the officers to form a partnership between the Community Outreach and LICF. It is our goal to assist in matters that pertain to the LGBT Community including domestic violence with same-sex couples, bias crimes, and homeless LGBT youth.
The Suffolk County Police Department sponsors Community Meetings at the West Babylon Public Library, Route 109, on the first Thursday of every month (except July) at 7 PM. The purpose of these meetings is to allow Community groups to introduce themselves and, at the same time, learn more about other groups.
